Trigger Point Needling: Acupuncture for Stubborn, Chronic or Acute Pain

“Trigger point acupuncture” is another name for “Dry Needling”. “Trigger point needling” is practiced for acute and chronic pain, by acupuncturists who have 3,000+ hours of Chinese Medical theory and clinical internship training to inform their strategy and needling technique.

When doing a “Trigger Point” treatment, i don’t just put a needle into the tightest point, i am also:

-Looking at the entire pain pattern and treating accordingly: is there blood stagnation that has developed from chronicity, cold stagnation, damp stagnation, areas of deficiency, areas of compensation, areas of recruitment?

-Creating a pathway for the trapped energy to move through, on it’s way OUT.

-Releasing and resolving using points on the hands and feet, so that improvement is not temporary but permanent towards resolution.
